“Scatter The Brains”, the debut album from the punk project Scatterbrainiac, was released on July 28th through the independent Portuguese labels Miasma of Barbarity Records and Half Beast Records.
Introduced in mid 2020, Scatterbrainiac is the solo venture of the Oporto native Bruno Esteves (Black Alley Lobotomy; Antinomia), a regular presence in the Grind scene. Following the digital release of a demo and an EP on Bandcamp, in May and November of 2020, Esteves recorded his first full length, “Scatter The Brains”, in early 2021.
The record contains nine original tracks (“Gas Station”; “Rock N’ Roll Testimony”; “Fuck Off Death!”; “Surf Song In D-Beat Minor”; “I Know You’re Stupid”; “Mia”; “Stomachal Corrosion”; “Easy Peasy”; “Big Talk, Small Man”) and a cover version of the song “The Bomb” by the Los Angeles female rock group from the 1980s, L7.
